If you live and breathe Hip hop, then you would’ve known DJ Cza in a beat. No stranger in the local music scene, DJ Cza is the official DJ for 16 Baris with the hottest track record of spinning at both local and international gigs. As part of the #JDTOTHEMAX campaign, we caught up with the man himself as he shares with us on how he lives life #TOTHEMAX:
When did you first started being in the music scene?
“I have loved music since I was a kid. My mom was an aerobics instructor and when she turns on the music for her classes, it was something that triggered my interest for it(music). I fell in love with Hip hop in the mid 90s, turned DJ-ing into a career in 2002 and kept it going until today.”
Other than DJ-ing, what are your other passions?
“Picked up Muay Thai and Boxing back in 2010, it started off as an outlet to get back in shape as the night shifts from work started to take an effect on my health. From there, what started as a routine, it became a passion as I even joined a couple of amateur fights and ended up opening a boxing gym. Plus, I also like painting, shooting music videos and collecting sneakers.”
What is your go-to daily fashion style?
“I usually go for comfort, from Nike track pants to denim shorts, tank tops or crewnecks. I start my fit from the selection of sneakers and work my way up. Colour coordination is a must for the ensemble!”

“I can wear Nike Air Max the whole day, from work to the gym and straight to the club. They’re also great for travelling and for days that I need to be on my feet for long hours.”
What can we look forward from you next — any new gigs coming up?
“I am currently shooting 16 Baris Season 2, it will be released soon and we are looking forward for the concert. Also a couple of outstation gigs at Bali, Jakarta, Singapore and China.”
